Knowing that COVID is still very much part of our world, we are pleased to announce a new show coming to The Gallery at Lake St. Lawrence this spring!
In 2020 and continuing into 2021 the Gallery has established, and maintains, a COVID safety plan in accordance with NYS Department of Health Guidelines. Last year, we successfully held the Call to Artists and awarded three prizes. Considering the fact that the Show was delayed for six months it was still well received and generated significant interest from artists across the North Country. Admittedly, it is difficult to present artists in this environment but sometimes creativity and safety can work hand in hand!
Now…The Gallery will be honored to present “Paul Dickson: A Retrospective – 88 Years of Artistry” opening on April 17, 2021! Sometimes it takes many years for an artist to feel worthy of sharing their vision, imagery, and artistry. This would be the circumstance that Mr. Dickson finds himself in today! At the young age of 88 years, he has concluded that the art he has enjoyed creating for over sixty years might be valued by others. The Gallery at Lake St. Lawrence wholeheartedly agrees! Images of trains, aircraft, landscapes, seascapes, and nature in general have been captured over the years in oils, watercolors, and carefully executed sketches. More than forty works will be on display and for sale in the Main Gallery. Please read more about Mr. Dickson and our Gallery on our website www.lakestlawrencearts.com or on Facebook.
